What motivates you to help others achieve their nutritional goals and lead healthier lives?

“My mom always told me to find something I love and make a career about it; so I chose food! Food and nutrition has always been my passion and I like to say it all started from reading those nutrition facts panel on the side of the cereal box as a kid, after playing the game of course.

I love helping others navigate the confusing nutrition world while still keeping the passion for food alive and helping my patient’s explore the various reasons WHY they choose to eat or avoid certain foods. Sometimes we eat for nutrition, sometimes we eat for nostalgia, sometimes we eat purely out of boredom and the reasons are endless. By exploring why people make certain food choices, patients are more likely to make lasting lifestyle changes because they have actually gotten to the root of the issue. ”

What is your nutrition Philosophy?

“Just living life itself can be hard, stressful and confusing but food and nutrition doesn’t have to be any of those things. I truly want to empower my clients so they feel confident to make the best nutrition choices for themselves. I hope to remove food as a stressful situation by working with individuals as they navigate the nutrition world, talk out their relationship with food, and help educate them. Seeing my previous clients live happier, fuller, and healthier lives is my hope for all my future clients. “

What’s one piece of advice you’d give someone who’s nervous to start their nutrition journey?

Food means so much more than just calories and macronutrients. Therefore, what we choose to eat has to do with so much more than just for health purposes. I truly believe we can all find a happy medium where we can eat nutritious food that we still enjoy. Never forget that eating should be fun, adventurous, comforting, and nourishing!
